Bozeman Senior Center Travel Policies

Travel through the Bozeman Senior Center Travel Program is open to individuals over the age of 50, who are current, paid, members of the Bozeman Senior Center.

The travel opportunities include:

One day trips, on motor coaches, throughout Montana.

Trips of several days, on motor coaches, throughout Montana and surrounding states

Longer trips, usually seven to ten days, using commercial airlines, to destinations throughout the United States and Canada.

International travel, using airline transportation to destinations around the world.

In order to enjoy these travel destinations, physical activity is required.   Comfortable shoes are a must.   Wheelchairs and motorized scooters cannot be accommodated on any of our trips.   In order to truly experience these travel destinations, you need to be able to walk comfortably, unassisted, for several blocks.  You may be walking over uneven terrain, climbing stairs, and experiencing periods of standing in one place.

On many of these trips, visiting historical areas, means accessing locations by foot because motor coaches are restricted.    If you have any questions or concerns about the level of physical activity in each trip, please discuss this with the Travel Director.

Travelers Needing Special Assistance:

You must report any physical disability to the Senior Center Travel Director when signing up for a trip.   Any person requiring assistance on a trip, would require a travel companion to travel with them and be totally responsible for providing that assistance, and for paying for the cost of their trip, also.   The Bozeman Senior Center cannot provide special individual assistance to tour members with special needs for walking, dining, or other routine activities.     Americans with Disability Act is inapplicable outside the United States.

For international travel, each passenger is responsible for proper documentation and inoculations that may be required and/or recommended for participation in the trip.  Please contact your local health department or your personal physician for more specifics on each travel destination.

Travel Protection Insurance is required, and included in the cost, on all major trips offered through the Bozeman Senior Center.

For all shorter trips through the Bozeman Senior Center, which are not covered by Travel Protection Insurance, the following response for cancellation would apply:

After full payment of the trip has been received by the Senior Center, an individual and their traveling companion, may cancel their trip for medical reasons.   If they present the Señior Center with a note from their doctor stating they could not travel at that time, their full payment for the trip would be refunded.

Cancellation of a trip, after full payment has been made, for other than medical reasons, may result in forfeiture of their trip payment.
